作品制作と即興演奏が、自分のなかで深く結びつくようになって久しい。
とりわけ最近は、森、植物園、川のほとりなど、
自然のなかで演奏することが増えた。
呼吸や脈拍など、自身の内に響く音と、
小さな生き物たちが奏でる音や、風が樹々を揺らし、大気に響く音。
そこへ水彩のように楽器の音がにじみ、静かにひろがっていく。
楽器、絵筆、車――人間の機能をひろげる “拡張装置” と自己との境界がゆらぎ
内と外、静と動、受動と能動が、等しくそこに満ちるとき、
人間は、自然へと融けゆく。
Over the years, creation and musical improvisation have become deeply intertwined in my practice.
Lately, I find myself playing more often in natural settings—
in forests, botanical gardens, and along riversides.
The inner sound: one’s breath and pulse, and the outer sound: the voices of small creatures, the wind stirring the trees. Into this soundscape, the notes of an instrument seep, like watercolors bleeding into paper.
As the boundaries between instruments, paintbrushes, and vehicles—”extensions” that expand human capability—begin to blur,
inner and outer, stillness and movement, passive and active fill the space equally,
humans dissolve into nature.
