ダンスアーティストによるクリエイティヴカンパニー。
ダニエル・ヘイズとはこの団体の核となるアーティスト2人が創り上げた架空の人物の名前。
人間は何をもって自分自身を認識するのか、取り巻く環境や要素を具現化することでひとりの人物の存在を確立するということに面白さを見出す。
個人だけでは成し得ない世界観を作ることを目的とし、ひとりの人物がさまざまな要素で構築されているように、プロジェクトごとに多様な芸術的要素を取り入れた創作活動を行っている。
今ビエンナーレでも、他作家とのコラボレーション作品にすることで、単体の作品が提供する以上の多角的効果を求め、追求する。

Daniel Heys is a creative company founded by Nodoka Muta and Saaya Takaoka. The name of the company is inspired by a fictional character created by the founders which acts as a device for the company to express through.
The company’s key question is ‘what makes us who we are?’ and focuses on composing elements of a personality and using them to shape this fictional character.
In their works the company aims to create scenes which can only be achieved by more than one person, as a person is a complex mixture of facts and elements, and approach each theme by using wide range of artistic tools and ideas.
In this biennale they collaborates with the fellow artist’s works and hopes to add dimensions and choices to the original pieces.
