鑑賞者を含めた空間と絵画作品の関係性をテーマに作品制作を行なっています。私は鑑賞者と絵画作品との間に、現状よりも密な関係性を構築したいと考えており、そのために現状とは異なる手法、つまり画面の内容の検証ではなく、絵画の枠組みについて実験を行なっています。
絵画作品の壁掛けではない展示方法を実験することや、平面的ではない絵画作品の可能性を探ることなどに加え、展示空間の特徴を作品に取り入れることで、複合的な観点から絵画作品の新しい可能性を検証できると考えています。
そして、それが絵画作品と鑑賞者の新しい関係性の構築に役立つと考えています。

 

The theme of my work is the relationship between a display space including a viewer and a painting. I hope the relationship to be more closely.

By experimenting with how to display paintings that don’t use the wall, exploring the possibilities of paintings that are not flat, and incorporating the characteristics of a display space into the work, I can probably create new paintings from a compound viewpoint.

And I think it will be help to build a new relationship a painting and a viewer.
