好奇心に導かれてリサーチを進めていくと異物感を覚えることがある。理屈で割り切れないそれは、シコリになって、私を捕らえる。時間に埋もれた場所や人の記憶を掘り起こし、掬い上げ、再び放り込む。あるいは場所や文脈から切り離し、造形的な構造に転換する。そうすることで、硬直した事象がささやかに《揺らぐ》ことを期待している。
Along the course of the inspiration-lead research activity, I sometimes have a feeling of a foreign body. Denying logical understanding, it has become a sort of lump, it then seizes me. I dig and scoop up memories of sites and people buried in time, and throw them back in there again. Or, I convert buried memories into artworks by separating them from the original site and the context. By doing so, I expect static phenomena to modestly fluctuate.
