ずっと舟をつくってきました。「舟」という「容れ物」が、私には必要でした。
老い、老々介護、病、別れ… 容赦ない時の流れに沈みそうになる自分を保つため、かすかな希望を保つため、私には舟が必要でした。
舟は希望の容れ物だから。
現場で集めた枝、つる、土などの自然物で大型の野外作品をつくっています。私の制作意図は、『ここ』に『今』『在る』意味を探ること。変化してやまない無常の中の美を可視化し、そのはかなさとかけがえのなさを示すことです。
私の作品は、その地に生まれ、その地のもので育ち、その地の自然と時を受け容れ、やがてはその地の土へと還っていく。その過程すべてが作品と考えています。
I’ve been building ephemeral boats. In order to save myself from drowning, to maintain dim hope.
I need a boat, as a container of hope in the raging flew of life.
My mission is to highlight the meaning of “being here now” in ephemerality. My philosophy is to collect natural materials locally on site. My work should be born from the site, growing up on the site, and decaying on the site, while accepting the passage of time and the local nature.

東京生まれ。東京造形大学彫刻専攻卒。日本大学芸術学部彫刻科修了。
国内での個展やグループ展の他、スウェーデン、オーストリア、イタリア、キプロス、オーストラリア、韓国、台湾、スコットランドで野外展、個展、レジデンス多数。
Born in Tokyo, JAPAN.
Graduated from Tokyo Zokei University (Sculpture), Nihon University (Sculpture).
Had many solo exhibitions, group shows, joined residency programs held in Sweden, Austria, Italy, Cyprus, Australia, Korea, Taiwan, Scotland, as well as in Japan.
