CHIKUWA‐Unitは4名のアーティストによって構成されています。縁あって丸沼芸術の森に会した彫刻家と陶芸家のユニットです。われわれCHIKUWA‐Unitのイメージは食べ物の「竹輪」です。安くて美味く中心に穴が空いているのが特徴です。そのまま食べても美味しいのですが、おでんや土佐煮の具材としてもポピュラーです。そんな竹輪のような存在をアートの本質と見立て、Unitとして展開していきます。
CHIKUWA-Unit be made up of 4 Artists. Our unit’s members have an intimate meeting at Marunuma Art park in Japan.CHIKUWA-Unit was created based on the image of Japanese food ‘Chikuwa’. Chikuwa is cheap and delicious food. That is cylindrical shape and having hole in center. We thought about image of Chikuwa that is reflect the essence of arts.
