サハ・コーエン

出発点は、身体イメージを私たちがどう認識し、どう感じ、どのように歪めて抽象化できるかにあります。私が制作の一部に使用するのは、木、石、絹、ライスペーパー、植物性インクなど、有機成分で構成された素材です。それらを液体と色でできた風景のように扱い、他のより人工的な素材と対峙させます。今現在の感情、子供の頃のこと、眺めることのできる痕跡に関連する記憶も使います。
ときどき風景のように見えるもの、私が引き出したいのは何よりも大切な記憶です。

The starting point are the images of the body, how we perceive it, how we feel it, how it can be deformed and made abstract. I work with materials partly composed of organic elements: wood, stone, silk, rice paper, vegetable inks… I treat them like a landscape filled with fluids, colors and confront them with other more synthetic materials. I use my memories linked to present feelings, to childhood, to the traces I can observe…
Sometimes taking on the appearance of a landscape, it is above all a moving memory that I seeks to bring out.
