It’s about things and traces. Structures and phenomena created by humans are usually the themes that Pirko Julia Schröder explores using the media of photography, video, and space. Here, you can find a collection of special things—the Golden Collection. All objects are found pieces. They are the result of an extensive search for golden everyday items. Some are valuable, most are not—and yet the gold entices, even when it’s only plastic. The collection is presented in a museum-like manner. Each object is catalogued with its size, material, and place of discovery. This everyday archaeology raises the question of value: not all that glitters is gold. Please enjoy!
