あかりのありか《光ノ山》 Where the Light Dwells: Mountain of Light
私たちは、「あかりの良否は光源・反射材・遮蔽材のバランスによる」との知見を、子どもたちが体験的に学ぶアート・サイエンスコミュニケーション活動である、「積み木であかりのワークショップ」の教材開発と普及実践に努めています。作品と同名の題材童話「あかりのありか《光ノ山》」は、紙飛行機のこーきが、光ノ山の本当の意味を探して中之条を旅するお話です。中之条小学校でのワークショップでは、こーきが目撃したもの、すなわち子どもたちが童話を読んで想像したシーンを、積み木とLEDによる「読書感想光」として表現します。
2025年6月に中之条小学校4年生・6年生・特別支援学級と吾妻特別支援学校小学部に向けてワークショップを実施しました。
We are working to develop teaching materials and promote the spread of the “Building Block Lighting Workshop,” an art-and-science communication activity that teaches children, through experience, the principle that “the quality of lighting depends on the balance of light source, reflector, and shielding material.” The project is based on a charming children’s story of the same name, “Where the Light Dwells: Hikari no Yama,” which follows Koki, a paper airplane exploring Nakanojo in search of the true meaning of Hikari no Yama. At the Nakanojo Elementary School workshop, what Koki witnesses, along with the scenes children imagine after reading the tale, are beautifully expressed as “Reading Impressions Light,” created with building blocks and LEDs.
Workshops were conducted in June 2025 for 4th and 6th grade students and special needs classes of Nakanojo Elementary School, as well as for the elementary students of AGATUMA Special Needs School.
