歌人・若山牧水は三日後に信州・松本市で開かれる歌会にス ペシャルゲストとして招かれているにも関わらず、上州の山々 や温泉地を楽しんで、いまだ中之条の地を歩いていた。 そんな中、中之条周辺のあちこちから牧水を師と仰ぐ人々が 集まり、酒と歌の夜が始まるのだった。 果たして牧水は松本での歌会に間に合うのか!?
生涯、旅と酒、歌に遊んだ巨匠・若山牧水に捧ぐ紅月的オマージュ!

Although the poet Bokusui Wakayama has been invited as a special guest to a poetry gathering in Matsumoto in Nagano Prefecture, scheduled for three days later, he is still wandering around Nakanojo, enjoying the mountains and hot springs of Gunma Prefecture. Meanwhile, admirers of Bokusui gather from all over Nakanojo, and an evening of sake and tanka begins. Will Bokusui make it to the poetry gathering in Matsumoto in time?! A Theatre Akatsuki-style homage to the master Bokusui Wakayama, who spent his life traveling, drinking, and composing tanka.
