談土図 Table of Conversing Ground

六合赤岩の風景は、自然と人の営みが長い時間をかけて重なり合い、形づくられてきました。この土地の公民館は、人々が集い、言葉を交わし、関係を築いてきた場です。本作では、地域の桑の葉や植物、土を素材に用い、それらを植物繊維とともに格子状に組み、机上に広げています。風景と人との関わりから生まれる文化や関係性の層をたどりながら、この地の構造がいまも編まれ続けていることを示そうとする試みです。

The landscape of Akaiwa in Kuni has been shaped over time by the layered interactions between nature and human life. The local community center has served as a space where people gather, talk, and form relationships. In this work, mulberry leaves, local plants, and soil are integrated with plant fibers and arranged in a grid-like composition across a tabletop. By referencing the strata of culture and connection formed through the ongoing relationship between people and the land, the work explores how the structure of this place continues to be woven through time.
