中之条中学校の皆さんに“中之条ビエンナーレに参加する”体験をしてもらおうと考えました。それはつまり、ここで自分は何を作るのか？を考え、それを形にして他者と関りながら作品として発表する体験です。きっと中之条で生まれ育っている皆さんにしか表現できない「光ノ山」があるはずで、何より中学生の皆さん一人一人こそが中之条の光です。この体験をきっかけに自ら何かを作り出すこと、それを通して自分らしく世界と繋がることに興味を持ってもらえたら嬉しいです。

2025年1月-2月にかけて中之条中学校に通い、創作活動を行いました。滞在中に1年生・2年生に向けて行った授業作品を展示。
Our idea was to give Nakanojo Junior High School students the experience of becoming Nakanojo Biennale artists. In other words, it is an experience of thinking about what you are going to make here, then giving it shape and presenting it as a work of art while engaging with others. There is surely a “Mountain of Light” that can be expressed only by junior high school students born and raised in Nakanojo, and above all, each and every junior high school student is the “light of the future” of Nakanojo. We hope that this experience will spark an interest in creating something and connecting with the world in your own way through it.

From January to February 2025, the artists visited Nakanojo Junior High School and engaged in creative activities. During their stay, they conducted classes with first and second year students. The results of these classes are on display during the 2025 Nakanojo Biennale.
